Manchester Society of Architects 2011 Award for Conservation

'Commendation' presented to Bernard Taylor Partnership for their work on Elizabeth Gaskells House, Manchester. The project will convert this grade 2* listed building into an 'Author based Museum' telling the story of the novelist's work, her life and interests, and the role the Gaskell family had in social reform in the industrial revolution in the north of England. The first phase is complete, phase 2 awaits funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. See recent article attached in Period Living Magazine.

Sport England award the first UK grant to Moss Side Boxing Club for 'Inspired Facilities', the olympic legacy project

A grant of £43000 was presented by Richard Lewis chair of Sport England to the Phil Martin Centre, Moss Sides renowned boxing club on 15 November 2011. Bernard Taylor Partnership have provided the scheme to refurbish the building working closely with Hugh McWilliam of MCCR who compiled successful grant application. The remedial work is due to start in the New Year.
